This unique yellow star flower fabric art quilt is created on fabric with
watercolor techniques and embroidery. This wall hanging is ready to grace your
walls or would be a perfect gift for any occasion. The quilted wall hanging
features a bouquet of different flower painted on a fabric background. This
unique fiber art piece measures 21 inches wide by 21 inches in length.
The wall hanging was created by hand embroidery using dark blue thread for the
floral design and then painting the design and background with watercolor
crayons. The different flowers are painted with bright yellow and lavender with
green used for the leaves and stem. The background is painted a rainbow affect
with blue, green and lavender. After the painting was completed, the fabric was
ironed to heat set the color and it should not fade. The flower bouquet is
accented with machine quilting stitches that sets off the design as well as the
embroidery.
The first border for the quilt is created with a bright gold fabric and the
second border is a dark blue. The edges are finished with a binding in the same
blue fabric. The back of the quilt is a rusty gold with flower pots and
alphabet characters.
There is a hanging sleeve for a small dowel attached to the upper back of the
quilt. The hanging sleeve and dowel do not show from the front of the quilt.
The quilt will hang with one small nail. There is also an artist label attached
to the back of the quilt.
This fabric art was created in my pet free and non-smoking home studio. It is
