Handmade doll including a large 7" long needle with skull bead tassel. The
doll is approximately 8" tall and 7" wide and made from burlap. The needed has
been filed and smoothed at the point to make it safer (it can still pierce the
doll easily.)

Voodoo dolls (also known as poppets) are effigies of a person which are often
stuck with pins in order to bring a curse of misfortune and pain. However,
these dolls are not always used for malice, as they can be used as a conduit to
cast helpful spells as well as harmful. However, this particular doll is not
actually magical and is intended to be used as a prop or for decoration.

After making many dolls I've found burlap to be the best material because the
needle holes go away after the needle is removed instead of sticking around for
a long time. The fabric's loose weave is easier to pierce and this allows me to
dull the end of the needle to prevent accidental ouchies.
