Primitive candy cane with mice
The children were nestled
All snug in their beds
While visions of sugarplums
Danced in their heads.
I’m sure they weren’t dreaming of mischievous mice after their sugarplums in
Materials: muslin, fiberfill, red fabric, black beads, chenille stems, crochet
cotton, artificial greenery
• The candy cane is made of muslin, stuffed with polyester fiberfill and
wrapped with a red fabric strip to form the diagonal stripe. Artificial
greenery of pine, holly, grapevine and a pinecone has been attached.
• The mice are made of muslin, stuffed with polyester fiberfill and painted
grey. They have black bead eyes, and crochet cotton whiskers and pink
embroidered noses. Their tails are muslin wrapped chenille stems, also painted
• A grungy tag is tied to the greenery. The tag reads “Visions of sugarplums”
on the front and the verse above printed on the back.
Dimensions: The candy cane is 11” long and 3” wide at the curve. The mice are
about 3 ¾” long without their tails. The overall size is 16” long (including
greenery) 6” wide and 6” tall.
