This is a very unusual piece. The frame contains embroidered practice alphabet
letters done at a French school (Institut Sevigne in Mont Gaillard, Normandy)
in 1930. This particular one has a plait of actual hair pressed to the
embroidery base. The hair was probably cut to symbolise the end of childhood
rather than for mourning (more typical in the 19th Century). The plait is held
together by hair clips one of which has snapped. The glass for the frame is
intact. The backing to the frame has peeled, as can be seen in the pictures,
but the string and fasteners are intact.

long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

-If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a
complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless
this is done at delivery time!

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

-Refunds are only for the item price and not for shipping costs and will be
