The Girls pattern is three African women dancing to the beat of the drums or
whatever type of music that makes them want to move!
Jannie Rees of Jannie Quilts is an Australian artist that I have had the
pleasure of meeting. On her first trip to the USA, she honored us with her
presence and introduced us to her unique patterns. I have been absent from the
quilting for 10+ years and just renewed my interest in the art since I have
retired. I reached out to Janie from a client’s request to try and locate this
pattern. Why did she ask me? How could she know that I knew Jannie? Well, with
my research, I found her and she was so excited to be back in touch. The client
will be so excited that she can now have this pattern.
This pattern templates for all three of the girls. Each quilt measures 20” x
24” and would look great on it’s own, or in the company of one or both of the
girl (s). Detailed instructions are given for the quilt construction and the
appliqué. Some knowledge of beading, or a willingness to “have a go” is
required.
Jannie also has additional patterns which are on sale in my shop.
