Sumba is an island among 17500 islands in Indonesia Archipelago. Is part of
the Province of East Nusa Tenggara with abundant of natural and cultural
resources.

Ikat woven is a woven fabric that makes motifs using ikat techniques. The
bonding technique is carried out with certain parts of the yarn, with the
intention that the bound parts are not colored when the yarn is inserted into
the dye liquid. The parts tied together have been calculated in such a way, so
that after weaving it will form motifs in accordance with what is desired.

Each Sumba woven ikat has a different meaning behind each pattern
- Horse: heroism, grandeur, and nobility
- Crocodile or dragon: power and power of the king
- Rooster: the lives of women (who's always protecting)
- Cockatoo: unity
- Tree of Life : protection from danger
- Shrimp: low profile character
- Crocodile and turtle: king and queen

Wave coloring comes from natural coloring for example red from the root of the
noni tree (Morinda citrifolia), blue from the leaves of indigo plants, etc

It taken 3-6 months to finish a product.
