Inspired by a recent trip to Africa this is the first of the Chevron Wall
Hangings I created. The fabric and the desgn remind me of the trip into the
Serengeti with it's beautiful landscape and amazing wildlife.

The fabric comes from the Island Batik collection and features designs from
both their Safari as well as the Wild Things collections. A total of 9
different colorways were used starting with the palest of yellows, to golds,
then browns with a few animal prints (giraffe, zebra) thrown in to add interest.

Each strip is 2" finished. Each square is 2" square.

The Brown strings of glass beads at the bottom were purchased as you see them.
Each "tassel" is wrapped in plastic to protect the beads.
They have been sewn to each point of the lower chevron from inside the quilt.

A hanging sleeve is incorporated into the quilt design and is ready for your
favorite rod.

The overall length is 62" long. Main quilt = 55", Beads = 7"
