An Italian or Spanish Baroque Panel
Red silk velvet brocaded with metallic silk threads
All four selvage edges present

Dating from early 18th century circa 1730

A very rare pillow face in time worn / as found condition
sold "as is" for reference, archive / re working

Extremely hard to fine original custom made pillow faces
usually they are made up from lager panels

This 300 year old panel is in an antique condition
The metallic threads have mostly rubbed away over the centuries
leaving the silk ground below. As has the velvet nap, remnants can be seen
around the edges
Some ancient restorations. Remnants of paper label to reverse
